David J. Cooper, a leading researcher and widely published author in experimental economics, is the new departmental executive officer for the Department of Economics at the Tippie College of Business.

Brant Walker is from Dubuque, Iowa and has recently received a Fulbright scholarship to study in Germany in 2022. He is graduating this year with Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Mathematics and a Minor in Philosophy.

Roberto Paniagua (BBA11), an account executive at Google in Chicago, has been named the 2021 Tippie Young Alum of the Year. Paniagua has been extremely involved in the life of the college since he began his studies in economics at the Tippie College of Business in 2007.

National Player of the Year and economics major, Luka Garza of the University of Iowa has been selected as the 2021 Senior CLASS Award winner in NCAA Division I men’s basketball. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character, and competition.
